I sing when I miss you

In 2019, Miras began gaining recognition as a solo artist with the release of his debut EP,  “Andetemin”. The record includes six tracks, all composed by Murat Kabylov, a friend of the family who had previously written for the Zhugunussov Brothers.

On September 14th, Miras performed “Andetemin”, the title track from the EP, at the renowned “Gakku Dauysy” festival held in Astana that year.

The music video for the song had previously premiered on the official Youtube channel of “Gakku TV”.

“Andetemin” became the first Kazakh-language song to reach the global iTunes Charts. And then in 2020…


A few months later, on December 1st, he took part in the annual “Choice of the Year” ceremony at Almaty Arena, performing in front of nearly 12,000 attendees and over two million viewers during the New Year’s Eve broadcast. That night, he received the “Choice of the Year – 2019” award.


Laureate of capital youth award

In 2019, Miras was one of the winners of the “Elorda Jastary Syilygy” (Capital Youth Prize), a major project held in Astana during the national Year of Youth. The initiative aimed to support active young citizens of the capital and highlight outstanding achievements across various fields.

Miras received the award in the “Estrada” (Pop Music) category, recognizing his contribution to contemporary Kazakh music. Winners were honored with a monetary prize and a special trophy during the official awards ceremony on December 8th.
